FAM WAS A BLAST! the sec4s were surprisingly GUAI! ohmyword during the performances they were all like SITTING DOWN and PAYING ATTENTION and laughing and clapping. haha we thought they'd all be walking around taking pictures of themselves, but they didn't! why? because this year we gave them 2 blocks of photography time x)

ok anyway backtrack a bit to thursday morning. i woke up late but reached school early =D i looked like a clumsy elephant clambering up and down the bus with 2 humongous bags full of clothes and more clothes and shoes and a sleeping bag. so reached school, gathered all the equipment and loaded all of them onto the lorry. OH YES. and bush was having some talk at shangri-la, so the ENTIRE road was like blocked off and our school was spammed with security. haha how unapt! imagine a lorry full of equipment driving through security check. then 13 of us piled into mr lau's and ms picca's car. hmmmmm suspicious articles. and we had to make a big detour just to get to orchard hotel coz of the road block. how unfortunate.

anyway, they sprung a surprise on us in the morning by telling us that the ballroom would only be ready at 3, not 1230. so we had to rehearse in the holding room. which means that we had to carry the equipment to the holding room and then to the ballroom again.

ohwells anyway did rehearsals and blabla. then halfway thru the afternoon rj streetdance passed us a newer version of their cd. and ky and i were like ohno....their older version is alrdy in our compiled cd. but nvm, we'll play this cd separately. (they were dancing to O!) and then they passed us this paper with all their lighting order. like at what second dim the lights then turn back on. ky and i were like.....o_O *jaw drops* and the hotel's lighting was so complicated. its not just switch on the switch when you wanna turn on the lights and turn the knob when you wanna dim. its like TWO ROWS OF BUTTONS. the hotel staff was tryna teach us all the different combinations and we just stood there with our mouths open. so anyway, kuoying the HERO memorised all the combinations. well done ky! XD and coz their streetdance was one of the last performances, ky and i were so anxious that we'd go wrong or smth. we practised like at least 5 times before the whole event.

then FINALLY the time came for them to perform. and coz before that it was all the pageants and their different av requirements so ky and i were really confused. then we stared at our paper (we forgot to update rj's song requirement). so ky said okay streetdance now play track 13! and then she went to the lights and i went to the mixer system and played track 13 and the music started. so everything seemed smooth and i was cueing ky with the lights. and i was like phew everything's fine. when we were practising, at 2:25 when ky was supposed to dim the lights the music was supposed to change to O's bridge. but when she dimmed the lights it went "O~~O~~~!" and i was like...smth's wrong...but i can't tell what's wrong, the timing is correct! then i looked at them dancing for a while and for a moment they seemed to have forgotten their dance steps or smth. then at the end we were supposed to off all the lights when the thing went BOOM. but when ky turned off the lights the music got faster and faster and it didnt end it kept on playing.

me: OHMYWORD WHAT'S WRONG?!
ky: I DONO THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO END HERE!
*music continues playing and gets even louader*
me: NVM TURN THE LIGHTS BACK ON ON ON ON.
*music ends and they go off stage*
*stares at mixer wondering what's wrong*
me: OHMYWORD! WE PLAYED THE WRONG SONG!
ky: O_O?! OHMYWORD!
me: we were supposed to play the newer version! we played their old one!

and we both covered our faces and went "OOOHHH NOOOOO" for like one whole minute. then we ran back stage to apologize but they didn't seem very pissed. in fact they were rather AMUSED. but until now i still cannot forgive myself! RAH! sigh but nvm, they were still able to improvise last minute! THEY'RE ZAI! everyone who didn't know what went wrong kept saying they were zai! yes THEY'RE ZAI =) 15 extra seconds of improvising!

anyway, after the whole thing ended we also went to find our seniors and camwhore XD SEND ME PHOTOS! =D angel is so vain! she wants to EDIT her photo before sending me coz she said her face was oily -.- (angel remember to help me edit away my ugly pimple too XD)

so it took about half an hour for all the sec4s to clear then we transported the equipment back to school. at like 1am. hahah i wonder how we managed to pass security.

then audrey and i went back to our hotel room to change out and all of us went to eat macs at like 2am. and that was my erm. dinner! haha! actually it was way past dinner. even way past supper! but not yet breakfast. ok so i had erm SUPPFAST! is there sucha thing? =P

and we kinda owned macs. there were a lot of sec4s there too. and i think at least half of the whole cohort of them are korean crazy! when rj streetdance started dancing to O you could hear the whole crowd go "OOOO!!" then halfway while eating i heard someone from the group beside us go "kamsamida!" and i was like ohmyword did i just hear kamsamida, no i must be hallucinating. then suddenly someone joined their group and another one said "eh! ANYONG!" and she went "OH! ANYONG!" *waves* and i was like ohmyword they are really korean crazy.

and before that audrey kept asking me to play O on my phone but i thought we'd be disturbing the rest. but i thought after all the kamsamidas and anyongs they probably woulnd't mind O. then the group of sec4s in front of us were also playing music on their phone but it was too soft so i couldnt hear it. so i blasted O on my handphone, and immediately they started screaming

them: AHH!!!
us: HUH?
them: SAME SONG SAME SONG! *raises volume of their phone*
us: OHMYWORD IT'S O TOO!
all: OOO~~OOOO~~!!!
me: eh audrey let's play a diff song leh. play balloons!
them: AH!!! BALLOONS!! *starts dancing balloon dance*

hahaha they are so amusing! ohmyword they are seriously korean crazy la! like they say at least one korean phrase every few sentences.

anyway then at 330 we went back to our room to sleep. (school gave us a free room XD) and there were 17 of us squeezing in the puny room. it was really pathetic/breath-taking/hilarious. 6 of them on the bed, 1 in the cupboard, 1 in the bathtub, 1 on the toilet floor and the other 8 of us on the floor. zheng ning and jia cong were crazy. they rolled up into a puny ball and slept in whatever tiny space they had. they almost had to be airlifted when they woke up =P ahhaha audrey and i were crouching in the tiny space on the floor btwn the bed and the wall. the moment we woke up she started giggling. and i was like what why are you giggling. NECK PAIN. HAHAH XD

ohwells, shall give FAM shoutouts and post pictures in my next post! going to church for music practice and then musical in the evening. but before that! balloons mv is seriously cute! ahhahaha esp hero at the end where his kid was totally uncooperative! XD i spent 15mins tryna learn their starting dance last night. its really cute XD
