ok so NAG's over. we sure had fun! im just a little disappointed that my last bowling competition in rgs had to end off on a bad note. ohwells, but as aunty cat always says, SMILE! i shall kind of like do some mini reflections here.

apart from picking up the sport itself, i have definitely made many new friends (especially one VERY GOOD friend XD) 2 of the more significant lessons learnt:

1) sportsmanship- e.g. not cursing under your breath/stomping on the lanes when qianbian things happen like the ball suddenly overhooking or chopping the pin or missing the pin by 0.00000001 inches.

2) teamwork- i.e. encouraging your teammates when they're not bowling well. most importantly, not to show a black face or even cry when you're not bowling well coz that's not gona help anything or anyone.

yeap, and of course along the way certain things have happened. though they aren't really pleasant, im still glad they happened (:

okay enough of the emo-ness! on a lighter note, (or maybe not very light) i shall recount what happened yesterday morning!

hazel, nic, albee, moony and i were at shaw macs having breakfast when this random guy suddenly came walking past us saying "hello can i be your friend..." my initial instinct was "ohno, some macs guy tryna promote us stuff" but it seemed rather queer when he conveniently plopped himself on a chair beside our table and stared straight at us. speculation that this guy had a screw loose was confirmed when he started asking us for our names. at first we were so amused we just turned away and started laughing. but when he refused to go away, we got pissed. he literally sat beside us for the entire breakfast suggesting things like catching a movie, going to borders and last but not least, karaok-ing. sorry dude, even if you had been wiser enough to suggest kbox, we'd still decline the offer.

if he was ACTING weird, then he's one dangerous guy. for all we knew, he could've been some serial kindnapper or rapist. but he seemed genuinely WEIRD, which kind of explained his despo-ness.

by the way, we bowled with the same group of guys throughout the 4 days of NAG. got really sian. the first one seems plain gay, the second just as gay, the third whacks your hand SUPER HARD when he strikes/spares (WTH CANNOT TAHAN TODAY HE GOT 5 STRIKES IN A ROW THEN NEXT GAME FOUR BAGGER, MY HAND ALMOST DIED), and the last one was rather okay heh. we eventually realised that the last one likes jermaine! woohooo! ahahahah. jermaineeeeeeeee. i guess he didn't realise that jermaine's parents were sitting right behind throughout the enitre course of NAG. if he did, i think he'd have backed off HAHA.

aye anyway, last sunday was the last week of mission's month and they invited 2 ladies from the kalagan ministry to speak to us. its really amazing to see how they can come back so strong despite setbacks and tragedies, especially one of them who's husband got shot dead by one of the anti-Christ locals 4 years back.

just received some unpleasant news yesterday evening. and once again my mom reminded me- even as i slog my guts out to salvage my GPA this june hols, what's of utmost importance is my walk with God, followed by my health.

yeap, i shall try not to complain about brown rice, basmati rice and soup without salt anymore (=
